Local Economic Development (LED):
Poverty alleviation and job creation are the key focus area of our LED programme. Job opportunities are created through entrepreneurial training that entails a sound support system, the marketing of products, use of technology and access to finance.
The Municipality encourages economic diversification through agriculture and many other related industries. Emphasis is also on job creation via the development of small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs). Some of the key projects are:

Through the department of land affairs the land was bought and the funds that was left over, inconjunction with the department of agriculture implements were bought i.e. tractors, ploughs, trailers etc. They are currently planting crops like vegetables although the potential of the farm goes beyond that. |

Capital Projects:
Capital Projects ensure the creation, improvement, expansion, or
rehabilitation of infrastructure. The types of
projects are determined by the needs and priorties of our People. Projects that create or improve access to basic necessities is given priority.
The project management Unit is tasked with ensuring the successful management and implementation of all funded projects within time and budget. Our Municipality has been awarded by MIG to be one of the best project management teams in the province. read more.....
