Requirements:
? Grade 12
? National Diploma in Building Science or equivalent
? Extensive knowledge of the National Building Regulation and SA Bureau of Standards
? Two (2) years‘ experience as a Building Inspector
? Ability to work under pressure
? Valid Code (EB) 08 Driver’s License
?
Key Performance Areas:
? Enforcement of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
? Scrutinizing of all building plans and approval of residential building plans.
? Preliminary approval of business and public building plans.
? Withdrawal and handling of stand files.
? Keeping of log sheets (subsidized and official vehicles).
? Undertake site inspections and follow-up on illegal building work.
? Issuing of notices / fines and attending court sessions.
? Implementation and application of Advertising Policy.
? Verifying of building plans with the public.
? Control and monitoring of outdoor advertising.
? Handling of complaints and enquiries.
? All proceedings as determined according to the Act on National Building regulations.

BASIC ANNUAL SALARY: R265 224.00 (post level 7) plus normal company benefits and a 25% Non-Pensionable Allowance
