HUMAN SETTLEMENT OFFICER
? Grade 12
? Three (3) year Diploma in Public Management / Public Administration or Development Studies
? Valid Code EB (08) Driver’s License
? Computer Literacy
? Experience in the field of housing with an understanding of key housing policies and legislation
? Ability to work under pressure in difficult circumstances and with minimum supervision
? Project management knowledge and skills
Key Performance Areas:
? Facilitate and monitor implementation of housing projects.
? Manage the allocations of beneficiaries into stands and houses.
? Enforce Housing policies and legislation.
? Ensure efficient and effective administration of the regional human settlement office.
? Supervision of staff.
? Management of human resources (subordinates) as well as sectional assets.
? Prepare and submit monthly reports to Immediate Supervisor (Head Office).
? Attend to housing contractor queries.
? Attend to complaints and enquiries from community members and relevant stakeholders.
? Monitor and report any illegal occupation of land and assist with evictions.
? Ensure effective community consultation and conflict resolution.
? Ensure effective communication with community representatives.
? Liaise with the Provincial Department of Human Settlement on matters relating to human settlement projects.
? Input on Human Settlement policies when drafted or reviewed.
BASIC ANNUAL SALARY:R300 276.00 (Post Level 6) plus normal company benefits and a 25% Non-Pensionable Allowance
